Two days after the wicked derecho that blew from Chicagoland to the Delmarva Peninsula, southeastern North Carolina gets its turn under the severe weather gun. After a day full of severe heat, it was only a matter of time before storms came through. Severe thunderstorm watches were issued, and the I-95, I-40, and US-17 corridors soon became painted with warning polygons as several lines of storms rolled through.
I have to admit, it was pretty disappointing here. The second part of the video was literally the worst part of the storm. At least it's a little cooler now.
