Crappy cell phone video is crappy, but this is Holly Ridge, NC's IntelliSTAR 2. It was a pleasant surprise to see it, even if I disagree with some of its features, namely Jim Cantore's fairly lazy narration, or lack thereof. It looks good with 1080i through HDMI, and it does fit the rest of TWC HD's theme well. In standard definition, Camp Lejeune is served by a WeatherSTAR XL v3. Also of note is that this IS2 does not mention any of the local bases, while the main city for the XL is Camp Lejeune, with MCAS New River and Cherry Point mentioned in regional observations as well.
Above is my ten-minute rant from May 24, driving down NC. . .24 after being on the road for too long and drinking too much caffeine. I don't think I even knew what I was talking about. Enjoy?
